Apostle Derry L. Haywood III
Apostle Derry L. Haywood III is the lead pastor and establishmentarian of Freedom House RVA, located in Richmond, VA. A native of Portsmouth, Virginia Apostle Derry possesses a heavy organizational leadership and administrative background, and is known for his affinity to train and develop leaders pushing God’s people into their destinies. In the Marketplace he has over 18 years of experience in the security industry with emphasis in, cyber, risk and technical security. He has been trained in executive leadership development and provides coaching for various industry senior leaders. He is the provost and instructor of the “Church Planter Institute,”an educational platform that is used to equip the body and local church at large. Apostle Haywood has had the opportunity to minister in several different venues and churches to audiences of all colors, cultures and creeds both domestic and abroad. His instrument is the gospel of grace that he releases with power, passion, conviction and boldness affording him the opportunity to witness first-hand the power of God bring freedom to the hearts and souls of men. In September of 2010 AD was joined in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart with whom he now partners in ministry. Together they believe that all things are possible with Christ. Freedom House RVA, is identified by its DNA of the (3 C’s) The Culture is Love, Building Relationships is their Connection, and Serving the Community their mandate. However their spiritual plumline is based on one declaration...their Declaration is FREEDOM! …Which can only be found in Christ. In September of 2023 AD launched the second location and extension of Freedom House in Portsmouth Va, affectionately known as” Freedom House 757.” Following the Lord's mandate to return to his hometown, he has personally witnessed the fruit of obedience by the growth and grace they have experienced within the past year…and the Best is still yet to come. On December 16th 2023 Apostle Derry was officially affirmed as a modern day Apostle and fully embrace the calling and identity that he has been sanctioned to walk in. His mandate lies within 3 main headers, Disruption, Innovation, Kingdom.
